"The print and document services that exist today at OfficeMax not only rival, but exceed, those offered by other popular print and document management services," said Harold Mulet, executive vice president -- retail, for OfficeMax. "With the launch of this new brand, we are reinvigorating our comprehensive service offering and ensuring our business and home customers have a better understanding of the breadth of the services."

The name "ImPress" conveys multiple meanings for OfficeMax's print and document services. Of most significance to our customers is that, regardless of what the document or printing piece is, it is created with the intent to make a favorable impression. At the same time, the ImPress name gives a nod to the core printing and copying service we provide.

"As we considered the broad range of OfficeMax print and document service customers, from the largest corporations to the individual consumer, we sought to identify the benefit they all receive from our services," said Brian Norris, senior vice president for OfficeMax. "The key desire that every print and document customer brings is very basic -- they simply want their work to represent them at their best. They want to impress their audience."

With corporate business sales already driving the largest percent of growth for the print and document services at OfficeMax, the company anticipates the new ImPress identity will attract even more business customers. "Our production centers are delivering exceptional results for business customers, both in cost and in quality," said Norris. "The new ImPress identity presents our capabilities in a much better context and will undoubtedly attract even more new business customers."

OfficeMax will begin changing retail signs and associate badges to reflect the OfficeMax ImPress brand starting November 17, 2006 and expects to have all stores representing the new name by December. The OfficeMax print and document services, long known as CopyMax®, has been a key part of the retail store service offering since the mid-1980's.
