Chief Executive Officer
Gerry P. Smith was named Chief Executive Officer of Office Depot, Inc. and a Director in February 2017. Prior to joining Office Depot, Smith served as Executive Vice President of Lenovo Group Ltd. and served in a number of senior executive roles across the business. Gerry joined Lenovo in 2006 and was instrumental in the company’s growth to become the largest personal computer (PC) company. He was also a leader in building the company’s global brand recognition and expansion during the past decade. In his role as Executive Vice President, he was responsible for operations across Lenovo’s global product portfolio. Previously as Chief Operating Officer of the Personal Computing Group and Enterprise Business Group, he led Lenovo to the top position in world-wide PC sales and as President of the Americas, he led Lenovo’s America’s Group to record market share and profits. He also served as Senior Vice President of Lenovo’s Global Supply Chain, where his leadership was recognized by leading research firm, Gartner, in ranking Lenovo’s supply chain among the best in the world. Prior to Lenovo, Gerry had a number of executive positions at Dell, as the company became a global leader in PCs. In his last role, he built the Dell Singapore Design Center and led Dell to the leading market position in flat panels as Vice President and General Manager of Displays. He is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University.
Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer
Michael Allison was named Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for Office Depot, Inc. in March 2017. In this role, Allison is responsible for all Human Resources functions, Communications and Events, IT, Loss Prevention, Real Estate, Construction, Procurement and Aviation. Previously, Allison served as Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Chief People Officer for Office Depot. He joined Office Depot in 2006 as Vice President, Human Resources. Prior to Office Depot, Allison served as Executive Vice President of Human Resources for Victoria’s Secret Direct. Before joining Victoria’s Secret, he was Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Bank One and Senior Vice President of Human Resources for National City Bank, both in Dayton, Ohio. Allison began his career as a practicing attorney specializing in Labor and Employment Law. A native of Cleveland,Ohio, he graduated in 1979 from John Carroll University and received his law degree in 1982 from The Ohio State University College of Law.
Executive Vice President, Supply Chain
Tim Beauchamp leads Supply Chain at Office Depot, Inc. and is responsible for driving continuous improvement and process standardization across the company’s procurement and supply chain functions. With more than 30 years of experience in operations, warehousing, transportation, facilities management, materials handling, inventory management and purchasing, Tim is a transformational leader who has successfully managed more than 300 acquisitions by integrating operations, enhancing efficiency and establishing shared cultures. Previously, Beauchamp served as Chief Logistics Officer at US Food Service, where he led logistics, warehousing, delivery and purchasing for the second largest food distributor in the United States. Prior to joining US Foods, Beauchamp spent more than 15 years in the office products industry where he held a number of leadership roles in operations and logistics at Corporate Express and Staples. During that time, Beauchamp led the integration of Corporate Express and Staples in North America while providing international supply chain leadership. Beauchamp earned his Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Logistics from Michigan State University.
Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer
Steve Calkins was named Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for Office Depot, Inc. in August 2016. In this role, Calkins is responsible for managing worldwide legal, regulatory, compliance and government affairs matters for the company. After several years in private practice, Calkins joined Office Depot’s legal team in 2003, serving in various capacities including as Vice President, Deputy General Counsel. In 2011, Calkins was appointed Senior Vice President, North American Business Solutions, managing Office Depot's contract sales organization. Following the merger with OfficeMax, in 2013, he was named Executive Vice President, Contract Sales. As part of his operational duties, Calkins was also responsible for Office Depot's Grand & Toy business in Canada, as well as Print & Services and Customer Service across North American selling channels. During his time at Office Depot, Calkins has played a significant role in a number of dealings, including mergers and acquisitions from both a legal and business perspective. Calkins' operational experience, including his work as head of Office Depot’s contract business for more than five years, enabled him to return to the legal department as a well-rounded leader with broad business perspective.

Executive Vice President, Transformation and Strategic Sourcing
John W. Gannfors was named Executive Vice President, Transformation and Strategic Sourcing in April 2017. In this role, Gannfors is leading Office Depot’s Transformation Office, process improvement and strategic sourcing. Gannfors is a global leader with a proven track record of creating immediate value in diverse organizations by driving strategy and strategic alignment, effective operational business transformation and strategic sourcing initiatives. He joined Office Depot after nearly ten years at Lenovo Group Limited, where he was instrumental in driving business results as a key leader in its Data Center Group Global Supply Chain and as its Chief Procurement Officer. Prior to joining Lenovo, he spent 12 years in leadership roles at Dell. Gannfors began his career in Product Management at Lockheed Martin’s Calcomp division as well as Definicon Systems. Gannfors earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California Lutheran University.
Executive Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer
Todd Hale is Executive Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer for Office Depot, Inc. In this role, Hale is responsible for defining the Company’s IT architecture, managing and overseeing IT projects and portfolio decisions, planning and developing applications supporting business operations, and ensuring the security of IT systems and processes. Previously, Hale served as Senior Vice President, North American Chief Information Officer for Office Depot. During Hale’s time with Office Depot, he has led a number of transformational initiatives including the deployment of Global Merchandising, Supply Chain and e-Commerce solutions. Hale joined Office Depot in 2004 where he held several positions of increasing responsibility such as Director, IT Supply Chain Systems; Senior Director, Merchandising, Marketing & Inventory Management Systems; and Vice President, North American Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Applications Development. Prior to joining Office Depot, Hale held various IT leadership positions with the Eckerd Corporation. He began his career in retail consulting for Procter & Gamble and Walmart. Hale holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a BS in Micro Biology from the University of Arkansas

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Stephen E. Hare was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Office Depot, Inc. in December 2013. In this role, Hare is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the Company, including Financial Planning, Forecasting, Reporting, and Accounting and Control; and managing the Internal Audit and Risk Management functions, Information Technology and the Integration Office. Hare comes to Office Depot, Inc. from The Wendy’s Company where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Hare also was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Wendy’s/Arby’s Group, Inc. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Arby’s Restaurant Group, Inc., Cadmus, AMF Bowling Worldwide, and James River Corp. Hare brings to the Company strong operating skills as well as considerable integration experience – having worked on a number of significant business transformations. Importantly, throughout his career, Hare has demonstrated the ability to successfully balance financial discipline with the need for sustained growth. Hare serves on the Board of Directors of Hanger, Inc. He graduated with a BBA from the University of Notre Dame and earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Executive Vice President, Business Development
Rob Koch was named Executive Vice President of Business Development for Office Depot, Inc. in August 2016. In this role, Koch is responsible for identifying and commercializing new business opportunities, rolling out Office Depot’s store of the future and expanding adjacency opportunities. Previously, Koch served as Senior Vice President of Real Estate as well as Senior Vice President of Merchandising for Office Depot. In his 22 years with Office Depot, Koch has held various key leadership positions in both finance and operations, including Vice President of North American Finance and Vice President of Financial Planning and Corporate Development. Notable areas of focus have included the administration of the annual operating and strategic planning processes, the development and execution of the North American Real Estate plan and various targeted cost and price optimization initiatives. Koch joined Office Depot in 1994 from Blockbuster Entertainment where he held various positions in the corporate finance division.
Chief Operating Officer, North America
Troy Rice was named Chief Operating Officer of North America for Office Depot, Inc. in August 2016. In this role, Rice is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company’s retail, contract, eCommerce and marketing operations to better serve customers in today’s omni-channel marketplace. Previously, Rice served as Executive Vice President of Retail for Office Depot where he successfully led the integration of the Office Depot and OfficeMax store operations, drove same store sales improvements and significantly grew operating profit. Over the course of his 26 years of retail experience, Rice has led omni-channel initiatives in partnership with eCommerce, improved customer satisfaction scores, grown customer loyalty programs, implemented world class systems and processes and driven sales. Before joining Office Depot in 2014, Rice served as Executive Vice President – Stores and Services at Toys”R”Us during which he was responsible for all aspects of store operations for Toys”R”Us, Babies”R”Us, FAO Schwarz and seasonal stores. Prior to Toys”R”Us, Rice spent 16 years in positions of increasing responsibility at Home Depot, culminating in the role of Division President, Northern Division, in which he held full operational responsibility for Home Depot’s largest division. Rice earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and Finance from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, GA.
